We had our very first parent-teacher conference today with Eric's Wednesday preschool teachers. It was a short meeting about how Eric is developing and what does and dos not do in accordance with National pediatrician checklists. He receive many + which were the skills he exhibited, he did receive some – which are ones that he has not shown or not on a consistent basis. Mainly, it was his ability to communicate, such as point to body parts on himself or a doll. Some of the other communication items were things that in just the past week he has been exhibiting. He said “Cool” for me this morning and will try to mimic what you are saying and seeing. He absolutely loves music and I hope that he gets his mother's music ability. Since I am trying to learn the guitar, but I am only as good as playing a video game. Once i can recognize a pattern, such as a chord, then I can play it. I don't have any of the background on how to play or theory of music. Maybe one day, Eric and I can be in a band with Jen signing and Baby Incognito doing something.
I should be hitting a running milestone tomorrow, more on that when it happens. SO make sure you check back on Friday! I did run 5.3 miles yesterday at a good 8:15 pace. I thought for sure that I was going a lot faster, but when I calculated the time I was depressed a bit. The nice thing was that since I had my long run earlier in the week, I could keep this speed with little trouble over the 5 miles. I would really like to run a 5k race to see what I could there. I think after I do strawplains on the 19th that I would really kick some ass in a 5k.
