Remember a long long time ago, in a galaxy… woah, woah.. sorry, that’s not where I was going.
A long long time ago
I can still remember how that music used to make me smile… Sorry… those responsible for the almost copyright infringement have been sacked and now on with our regularly scheduled blog entry.
Remember back when I said that I had my dream and that I was going to persue it? Here’s the entry if you need a refresher.
So, this morning… Jen had a $1,000,000 idea about my photography and I wanted to share all of it with you, because it fits into the grand scheme of things so well and actually, if it weren’t for my Photo-Girls (I’ll have to think of a better and wittier name for them… Hey MicroSock John, your assistance is need in the witty creative name aisle)
First there’s Laura… now Laura has fallen off the face of the earth the last few months, but there is good reason for that, but she’s an outstanding photographer and was the one that kept me interested when I was waning in my creativity. She has made plans to start taking pictures either in a studio or in people’s houses. You can check out her work at Photo a Day… and if you are near the ends of the earth, tell her “Hi” for me.
Then there is Princess, but you see her as Leesa. She’s an awesome photographer, bear whisperer, horse catcher and accomplished diet coke drinker. Her Cafe Press site was the first indication that you can use photoshop and there are tools to have people come and buy your stuff. Leesa’s is also the one that helped me rejuvenate my photoblog (which is still in idle right now, but it’s alive).
There there is Sam. [insert one of Terry’s Fave Beastie Boys song lyrics here]
Sam I am down with the program
Green eggs and ham Yosemite Sam
Come Halloween you know I come strapped
I don’t know all that much about Sam at this point (no deep dark secrets or fatuations with David Hasselhoff), she’s a new runner’s blog that I have enjoyed reading. She just currently moved to an Artic Wasteland (read: Michigan) but still gets out (brave soul) to run in the cold. Sam has a couple of businesses that she does on the side part from being a wife and super mom, there is Simon Sez Creative (web design), photoRageous (value-added photography services) and her own knitting-crocheting projects.
So, I am pimpin’ my girls not because they are eye-candy but because they all bring something (even if they didn’t know it) to my own desire to take pictures and offer my services and travel around the world doing this. Thankfully, I don’t need a 780 on my quantitative section of the GREs to do something like this. Good thing because I think I scored just a 640 (or something around that). But you have to remember that if something is your passion you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to enjoy it. Of course, if you are like Homer Hickam, your passion makes you a rocket scientist by default.
So what got me all excited and Jennifer even more excited… take a look:
